This is a translation for information. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

1. Introduction

alphakey GmbH takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This statement says which data we collect, what we use it for and how long we keep it. We comply with the Swiss Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:
alphakey GmbH
Bäumlisächerstrasse 47
8907 Wettswil am Albis
Switzerland
Email: hello@alphakey.ch

3. What data we collect

This website collects data in exactly three places: the contact form, the yield calculator’s form, and the reply box at the end of the articles and knowledge pages. All three are voluntary — without submitting, we collect nothing.

  • Contact form: name, e-mail address and your message. Telephone number and details about the property if you enter them.
  • Yield calculator: the details about your property that you enter in the form, together with your e-mail address. The entries in the calculator itself stay in your browser and do not reach us unless you submit the form.
  • Reply box on the articles: your question, the e-mail address and any details about the property you volunteer.
  • With every submitted form: the first page of this visit and the page immediately before. They appear as one line in the enquiry and tell us which article helped. These two addresses do not come from the analytics described in section 7 — they sit in your browser’s session storage and are gone when the tab closes. Anyone who submits no form never transmits them.
  • Server logs: IP address, time and requested address are recorded technically by our host (Netlify). We do not need these logs and do not evaluate them.

4. What we use the data for

Solely to answer your enquiry and to prepare for possible cooperation. No advertising, no newsletter, no passing on for marketing purposes.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell data. Disclosure occurs only where it is necessary to perform a contract with you — to a cleaning company or a tradesman for a property we manage, say — where we are legally obliged to, or where you expressly consent. The forms on this website are processed via Netlify; the data sits there until we retrieve it. Separately, Google receives the usage data from the analytics described in section 7; the two sets of data are never combined.

6. Data security

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only we have access to form submissions. Nobody can promise complete protection; we apply the customary technical and organisational measures.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It sets cookies and collects the following: which pages are opened, how long a visit lasts, which search or referring link it came from, plus device type, browser and approximate location. The IP address is used to determine the approximate location; by Google’s own account, Google Analytics 4 does not store it. Google may also process this data in the United States.

The purpose is a single one: to see which pages are read and which are not, in order to improve the content. There is no advertising, no audience matching and no linking with anything you enter in one of the forms. From the revenue calculator, the four multiple-choice answers are counted — location, size, furnishing, package — so that we can see at which question people stop. Each has two to eight fixed options, and they describe a flat, not a person. Your municipality, your name, your e-mail address and anything you type freely are not sent to Google.

Whether you are asked depends on where you open this site from. From the EEA and the United Kingdom, a banner with two equal buttons appears on the first visit — and until you have agreed, Google’s script is not loaded at all. From Switzerland there is no banner: the Swiss Telecommunications Act calls for information and a way to refuse here, not prior consent. Where the country of origin cannot be determined, we ask to be safe. Your decision holds for one year, stays in your browser alone, and can be changed here at any time:

8. Your rights

You may at any time ask what data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Excepted is anything we are required by law to retain. A message to the address above is enough; we reply within one working day.

9. Changes

We amend this statement when the legal position or our processing changes. For your next visit, the version published at that time applies; the date above says when it was last changed.
